Welcome:
SINY welcomes the Staten Island community to our new organization. Our primary goal, to feature a progressive and positive image of Staten Island will be done primarily through promotional and tourism venues. We are a non-profit group organized to benefit all who want to see Staten Island and its many offerings.
We want to involve the rich, interwoven tapestry of communities in future projects to help serve Staten Island as a whole. There is so much to see and do on the island and we look forward to promoting and showing off both well known and undiscovered island gems. We have been working with local organizations, and in the past, coordinated a bus tour through the Grayline bus company incorporating trips to some of the local cultural sites.
To date, we have launched some exciting new events such as the Pizza Tour and SINY Culture Fair. The pizza tour which samples some of our Island's finest pizzerias will run on Saturdays, beginning and ending at the Ferry terminal. The SINY Culture Fair is held annually in November or December. Staten Island cultural groups will share information about themselves and offer exciting holiday items for sale.
